It ´s all ready to Favignana for the 5.0 edition of "All in the mask", the event in which you want to solidify the initiatives of recent years, now treated in detail.

This year in the field five groups, four floats, 4 yards, three days dedicated to the youngest.

To kick off the first date will be schools of Favignana will parade in the historic center of the island.

Even in Levanzo and Marettimo, Carnival will involve the population.

The Association GIM, which organizes the event, thanked the City Council who sponsored the whole event.

HISTORY OF CARNIVAL

After a long hiatus, in 2011, thanks to a group of citizens (today gathered in the Shipyard Joy), and the municipal administration of the Egadi Islands, came back to life by five years the Carnival in Favignana, then extended to all three the islands. A project involving and appreciated by the people, working with renewed enthusiasm.

The Shipyard, for the occasion of the recovery, from the beginning designed two floats in paper mache, and to increase the parade, the Social Center "The Phenomenon" devised a masked group called "The Woods".

To organize and assist the work was born the "Committee GIM", which in the following year became Recreational Cultural Association "Committee GIM", ie the association from 2011 to date has espoused the idea of bringing forward the appointments carnival and managed promptly initiatives, increasing them more and more up to enclose them in a single event called "All in Maschera", already the second year has added to the parade other appointments recreational, social, cultural and gastronomic.

In 2013 "All in Maschera" adds the subtitle: "The Carnival, the event of all and for all", because the intent is very ones to enclose a series of events dedicated to every age group all. Already in 2013 the floats were no longer 3 but 6: a remarkable achievement, both for the association and for the City Council.

Favignana record 400 appearances in the mask in two festivals, two appointments for the youngest, 6 floats, 6 yards, 30 people on staff to support the event.

In short almost all islanders involved.

That year is launched also the mascot of the event, that Jimmy, the friendly and collegiate wolf holding company and brings a healthy entertainment to all those who take part in the event

In 2014 "All in Maschera" changes its look and becomes "All in Mask 4.0.", An idea young, fresh and innovative, like the young of the association, because the project is the brainchild of a few young people who love the islands its territory and who want to know more and do more.

Over the years the event has not only stopped but the days of Carnival, starting on Thursday fat, with the official opening, has completed the following Tuesday with the awards by the administration of all those who participated. Thanks to the spread of the media, newspapers, radio, TV, websites, Carnival of Egadi became the richest Carnival, is overwhelming and exciting the Trapani area.
