Turtle hospital in the former Florio plant in Favignana

FAVIGNANA. Assigned to the protected marine area the premises of the former Florio della tonnara plant to create a turtle recovery center.

The room received in assignment will be used by the AMP as well as to set up a marine turtle enclosure for you will also become a classroom for environmental education activities. The process of strengthening the sea turtle first aid center has been in operation since 2015, with the support of Legambiente and Wwf Italia, it provides for the creation of a specialized center dedicated exclusively to the turtle veterinary care.
