Leaving the town of Favignana along the road that runs on the left side of the prison, a comfortable paved road leads to Lido Burrone, the only large sandy beach on the island. Cala Rossa - Favignana Beaches

Cala Rossa takes its name from the blood that colored its waters during the Punic Wars and is known as the most beautiful cove in Favignana. The sea at Cala Rossa is crystal clear and the flat rocks are ideal for sunbathing. The cove is mainly suitable for those who can manage a long descent and is not recommended for families with children under three years old, elderly people or pregnant women.
